The Ford Raptor is an awesome vehicle. Unfortunately, the power steering system can only handle street and light off-road usage. When you start aggressively driving it or add larger diameter tires the pump falls short, starts to howl and eventually fails.

The problem starts with the poorly designed reservoir and it is flimsy attachment to the fan shroud. After it shakes around a bit and the oil gets aerated and heat builds up, it cannot be dissipated by the even more poorly designed cooling system. There are also shortcomings in the pump design, which are only made worse by the overheated oil, which leads to pump failure.

Our High-Performance Power Steering Pump Kit for GEN 1 Ford Raptors starts with our 8-inch finned reservoir securely mounted in front of the core support for all-in-one oil storage and better cooling.

We couple that with our tried and true Lee cast iron TC pump with custom flow control outlet, high flow inlet, billet aluminum pulley and billet aluminum adapter bracket. Also, part of the system is a Lee inline 6 GPM oil filter with replaceable filter element to ensure no unwanted particles are ever in the system.

The kit comes complete with the pressure hose, return hose, -12 oil inlet line and all mounting hardware.

The system is also designed to eliminate the annoying hydraulic vibration that occurs when replacing the stock lines.

Fluid Recommendation

It is HIGHLY recommended that you use our specialty-formulated Lee Power Steering Fluid.

AC Delco or Valvoline nonsynthetic power steering fluid will work as a second choice, but do not have the same Wear and Anti-Foaming additives our fluid has.

DO NOT USE ATF OR ANY TYPE OF SYNTHETIC FLUID.

    I didn’t put it in I had someone put it in for me and they said it was awesome bad ***, so I’m very happy with the purchase of the pump also said it had a five-year warranty on it that’s even better. I’m glad we made the purchase with you

    Replacment Power Steering Pump, Gen1 Ford Raptor

    Replaced OEM steering pump on 2014 Ford Raptor with Lee Performance Power Steering Pump. The new pump has worked incredibly well. The install was very straight forward and has performed flawlessly. The Tom Lee's Original Formula fluid has worked very well with reduced aeration. Future fluid changes will be made with Tom Lee's Original Formula to maintain performance and steering pump reliability. Great products.

    Good replacement pump

    I have had this pump installed for almost a year and a half so far. It has worked great and has not given me any problems. I will say that the installation was a pain, but hopefully this pump will last a looong time. It does not feel any better or worse than the factory pump, but I can at least have the piece of mind that it won't explode while turning in 4x4 like the factory pumps tend to do (my factory pump did....). The finned resivoir is nice and looks awesome. Im sure it does a great job keeping the fluid cooler vs the stock resivoir. The filter is also a nice feature. Would recommend to anyone who wheels their Raptor hard or has a pump going out.

    2013 Gen 1 Raptor

    I've been very pleased with my new Lee power steering pump. I had it installed by a top notch mechanic and he was impressed with the design as well. Drivability has improved due to smoothing out the steering feel. I'm confident this will eliminate previous issues I've experienced with the stock power steering pump and steering rack combination.
