What is included with the Complete Rod End Kit?

What is this rod end kit designed for?

What sizes are available?
The kit is available in 1/2-inch, 5/8-inch, and 3/4-inch sizes. Select the size that matches your ram and mounting arrangement.
Which size should I order?

Are both male and female rod ends included?
Yes. Each complete kit includes one male rod end and one female rod end.
What are the rod ends made from?

Do the rod ends require lubrication?
The rod ends feature a self-lubricating matrix race, so routine greasing is generally not required.
Are the rod ends protected against dirt and contamination?
Yes. The matrix race is both self-lubricating and self-sealing, helping protect the bearing surface from dirt and other contaminants.
Can I purchase the rod ends separately?
Yes. Lee Power Steering also offers individual male and female self-lubricating rod ends separately. This complete kit is intended for customers who need both rod ends along with the mounting spacers and hardware.
Does this kit include a hydraulic ram?
No. This product includes only the rod ends, bushings/spacers, bolts, and nuts. The hydraulic ram, hoses, tie-rod clamp, and other steering-system components are sold separately unless included with another complete ram kit.
Is welding required to install this kit?
Installation requirements depend on the vehicle and the ram-mounting arrangement. Any fabricated or welded mounting points must be properly positioned and strong enough to withstand steering loads. Professional installation is recommended when fabrication or welding is required.
What should I check during installation?
Make sure the ram and rod ends move freely through the steering system’s entire range of travel without binding or contacting nearby components. All mounting hardware should be properly tightened, and the hydraulic ram must not act as the vehicle’s steering stop.
Is this kit vehicle-specific?
No. This is a universal component offered in multiple sizes. Fitment depends on the dimensions and mounting design of the individual steering-assist installation.
