2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Kit Instructions

  1. Remove existing power steering pump, pressure hose.
  2. Install Lee pump using the three supplied bolts and the aluminum spacer provided
  3. Build the pressure hose using one 45 degree and one straight reusable hose end. View video about this process. We have supplied 48” of hose; you may be able to cut it a little shorter depending on your year make and model. Install the 45 degree end to the pump as shown in photo below.

  1. Route the hose up to the hydro boost in a safe manor. Make sure to stay away from headers!
  2. Install the supplied gold fitting and aluminum crush washer to the metal tube that comes out of the pressure inlet of the hydro boost.

  1. Install the straight end of the pressure hose to the gold fitting.
  2. You will use your existing feed hose that goes from the reservoir to the pump. Install the black -12 fitting to the feed nipple on the pump. Then slip the hose over the black fitting and use a hose clamp to secure. If necessary, you can clock the inlet fitting on the pump as needed. Make sure to re-tighten the jamb nut. You will want to cut the hose to keep it as short as possible and avoid any kinking.
  3. When installing a new pump to an older system we do recommend installing a filter to avoid contamination issues in the new pump. Beginning January of 2026 this kit will include our 10 micron filter. The filter can be installed anywhere in the low pressure return line before it gets back to the reservoir. If your kit was purchased before 1/26, we strongly suggest installing a filter!
  4. Follow the bleed instructions provided, and only used our fluid or a GM non-synthetic power steering fluid.

Verify Pulley Alignment

We have installed the pulley to what should be the correct location, but it is important to verify that the pulley alignment is correct. The pulley can be slightly over pressed or under pressed if needed to get proper alignment. If pulley alignment is not correct, the pump will wear prematurely and void warranty.
